Autumn has to be my favourite season, not because of my love/hate relationship with the start of school – but because it is the season of sipping hot apple cider to warm cold fingers, colour-changing foliage waltzing down from treetops in 17-degree weather, tea lights flickering in carved jack-o-lanterns, and of course – pumpkin-flavoured everything! Have you noticed the beautiful pink sunset the past few days?

This is the view from my current apartment window, this time no longer overlooking the Bloor and Spadina intersection, but a sweet assemblage of the older and newer parts of Toronto.
